Not my first choice I must admit, and at one point I was adamant I would not be going anywhere near there, but I got rejected from my first choice and rejection can make everything go a bit sour. Then suddenly my insurance choice looked like a good deal! They wanted me after all, and that’s always a nice feeling. I know I have potential to be great, I just lack the motivation to get there. I am officially a “lazy bum”. I’m hoping that I’ll grow out of this, I just need to give myself a fresh start and kick myself into gear, so to speak.

I want to be one of those cool book wormy people that reads a lot but still has a social life. I joke. If I’m honest I sit on the computer too much and think I might have forgotten how to absorb information in that manner. I like having all this information literally at my fingertips and reading a book takes a bit more time and effort for me. Especially as I’m going through a phase of disliking fiction. I avoid it. But hand me a book about philosophy (of which I have many, unread) and I’ll get all excited.

Philosophy. That’s what I’ll be spending 3 years studying at Roehampton university.

And also during that time I’ll be attempting to grow as a person and not get dragged down by peer pressure and turn into someone I know I am not comfortable being.

“Soon you’ll be at uni drinking yourself silly and having lots of sex with complete strangers!”

I have nothing against alcohol, I regularly indulge myself. But I don’t feel the need to, honestly I don’t and I can equally have as much fun without having it floating around my bloodstream. Does this make me incredibly boring? I hope not. I judge people on the things they say and do, not how entertaining they are when drunk. If having a drink changes someone’s personality so drastically then maybe they need to re-evaluate why they drink in the first place. You will not find me fulfilling the student-binge-drinking-stereotype if I can help it.

I hope I still meet friends.

This is one of my biggest fears so far. But I keep being told it’s nonsense and I hope those people I already call friends are right with that one.
